Rare of Breed
Born and raised in North Carolina, Rare of Breed's journey has taken him from the streets of Charlotte to stages across nearly every state. After entering foster care at the age of 8, he discovered writing as a way to process emotions. His teenage years brought challenges, including expulsion from high school for selling drugs, time in military school where he earned his GED, and later struggles with addiction, homelessness, and jail at 18. A life-changing moment came when he gave his life to Christ, finding new purpose in his music. For the past decade, he has shared his testimony through his self-described "GodTwang" style- a blend of Country, Christian, and Hip-Hop- performing at churches, festivals, music venues, and prisons while inspiring audiences from all walks of life.
